The Celebration Center

The "+ Center". Architecture often uses the word "center" as a catchall: it represents everything. Cultural center, visitor center, recreation center, music center, community center. The word is relatively neutral, conveying only that the architectural work is to be in the middle of an existing context. It is meant to become the magnetic pole for a given community. It exerts gravitational force. The project deals with the cultural diaspora that encompasses Denver Harbor, and the potential of an existing oasis in the community, Nieto Park.
